Donate
As a 501(3)(c) charity organization, Friends of Kakamega provides the sole financial support for this remarkable program. Hundreds of people donate to make it possible for the Care Centre to operate as it does. All donations go directly to the care of the children. The program is run by volunteers in Kenya and the United States, and only the staff of the Care Centre are paid positions.

Make a general contribution to the Care Centre to help cover operating expenses. It costs about $100/day to run the Care Centre. This covers the cost of cooking about 180 meals a day, staff salaries, medical/dental care for the children, electricity and cooking fuel, water, maintenance, etc. Donations of any size are very appreciated, since the Care Centre is the heart of the Project and needs continuing support.
