OUR IMPACT​

With over 15 years in partnership we are happy to say that we can see our support model working in action. Some of the young children we began supporting long ago are now college-educated young professionals who are living embodiments of our mission to empower young people to become confident and caring community members.

Small Organization,
Big Impact

We currently support more than 250 young people
across all of our programs,

and the positive impact spills over to benefit
more than 1,000 family members
Elementary School 
We've supported more than 370 students in elementary school,

including over 200 who've graduated

and 170 in school today
High School

​We've supported
more than 140
students

in ​high school,
​
including over 135 who've graduated

and 60 in school today
College & University
We've supported more than 40 students  in college or university

including 27 who've graduated
​
and 14 in school today
Small Business Training
We've trained more than 70 out-of-school youth in our agriculture and small business programs 

and helped to launch more than 40 small farm business ventures
With our support, KOCC employs ​12 full-time staff who use their salaries to care for over 45 dependents

​Care Centre children go to school with an impressive rate of 95% attendance, which means their
​days of missed schooling
are
 5x less than Kenya's average

In the face of tremendous challenges,  
​
58%  of our 8th graders score in the top half of national exam results
More than 1 in 3 of KOCC high school grads attend college or university, versus only 1 in 20
college-age Kenyans overall
93%  of our high school students scored in the top two-thirds of national exam results
Less than 50%
of Kenyan youth graduate high school, But 85%   of
​our elementary school grads are attending or completed high school
