OUR SUPPORT MODEL
Through our Kenyan partner KOCC, we help orphans and vulnerable children grow into confident and caring young adults. Learn more about our programs and how we accomplish our work below. |
Our program model is based on a holistic approach that includes material support, emotional support & counseling, and advice & guidance. We do our best to ensure children are receiving preventative healthcare, and we often support special medical needs that include dental treatments, surgeries, and drugs for for HIV and other chronic conditions. |
Home-based program - for orphaned or critically-poor elementary school students
Where a caring, loving, and supportive home exists for them, children are sponsored through the home-based program and their guardians provide care with the help of cash and in-kind support they receive through sponsorships. Care Centre program - for elementary school students who have no home or can't learn at home Through our Care Centre residence program, we provide a supportive boarding residence to orphans and vulnerable children so they can have the stability and safety that they need to learn and develop normally. High School program - for our eighth grade our graduates admitted to high schools When our students graduate 8th grade and are admitted to high school, we make sure they have what they need to pursue their high school dreams. College & University program - for our brightest and most dedicated high school grads Going beyond tuition & fee scholarships, we support our highest-performing and most dedicated high school graduates into college, providing guidance, counseling, and all of the tools & necessities that our young scholars need to develop their professional careers at college. Small Business Training programs - for our program graduages and other needy youth who do not go to college (nor, often, graduate from high school) We teach agriculture and small business skills, and then provide start-up funding so that participants can begin planting the seeds of an independent livelihood and grow them with confidence. |
