COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY PROGRAM

Big dreams and big hearts

Our most motivated and hard-working high school grads - the ones who get exam scores that bring them to college - have a habit of studying in nearly every free moment. They sleep or relax only occasionally, and even then only so they can re-charge for more studying.  Even more exemplary is that their tireless drive for success is often motivated by a desire to give back and transform the communities in which they live.

Our college students are indeed the most impressive, dedicated young scholars we have ever met. They all have big dreams, and while these dreams may vary across fields and professions, our post-secondary students are unanimous in their drive to pay forward KOCC's sponsorship by supporting their younger siblings and  other family members through school.

We are also proud that the majority of KOCC's college and university students undertake public service programs: teacher training is the most popular course of study, and both community development and health sector professions are close runner-ups.

What's more, our college & university grads have formed their own KOCC alumni association, and they are now actively organizing ways of giving back to the Kakamega Orphans Care Centre program.
